By Fidelity and Fortitude: Evie's Baptism
http://byfidelityandfortitude.blogspot.com/2014/02/evies-baptism.html
By Fidelity and Fortitude. Monday, February 10, 2014. This was a day we thought might never come -. The day we had Evie baptized, signifying her place as a covenant child. First, our family was officially received as members (all except John who is a member of the presbytery), then John and I took the vows of baptism, promising to raise Evie "in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.". John had the privilege of placing the water on her head and baptizing her Evangeline Mary Shaw. I'm a bad sister! I was...

By Fidelity and Fortitude: Best Adoption Update Ever
http://byfidelityandfortitude.blogspot.com/2014/01/best-adoption-update-ever.html
By Fidelity and Fortitude. Thursday, January 2, 2014. Best Adoption Update Ever. In my December 3 post, Adoption Update. I asked you all to keep praying for our adoption process. I wrote: "Please pray that the decision would be entered soon, that the birth father would rest his case, and that we could finalize our adoption. This calendar year would be ideal.". Well, somebody must have been praying! We were stunned to find out that the thirty-day wait we had so dreaded had not only started but was over!

By Fidelity and Fortitude: Halloween/Reformation Day
http://byfidelityandfortitude.blogspot.com/2014/11/halloweenreformation-day.html
By Fidelity and Fortitude. Monday, November 3, 2014. We missed out on our church's Reformation Day Celebration last weekend and our hearts missed the old days of Mission OPC's Reformation Celebration and going with Pat and Katie to "the main building" to trick or treat with the elderly and infirm there. In order to comfort ourselves, we went out and gathered candy from the neighborhood. This stealthy ninja was rarely seen, but his bag of candy seemed to grow steadily. Enough pictures, Mom! I realized ton...

http://byfidelityandfortitude.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
By Fidelity and Fortitude. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Miss Evie turned 2 on New Year's Eve. And what a two years it has been! This girl has changed our lives, for sure. Sometimes I look at her and can't believe how God has blessed us. I do that with all of my kids, but her arrival in our family was a very different journey from the others and all of the bumps in the road to making her a Shaw makes her all the more precious. Happy birthday, Miss Evie. You are loved beyond human ability to measure. It wa...

The Adventure that is Seminary: September 2008
http://seminaryadventure.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
The Adventure that is Seminary. Saturday, September 27, 2008. My first political party. That wasn't the case for everyone else attending the party. This was a party hosted by McCain supporters. Didn't see that one coming, did you? I'm glad I went - and not just because I got a huge piece of cake. It was good for me to step out of my ignorance. If the debate taught me anything - it's that our political choices now affect the world at large for years to come. Sunday, September 21, 2008. I can already tell ...

http://seminaryadventure.blogspot.com/2009/05/life-after-seminary.html
The Adventure that is Seminary. Wednesday, May 20, 2009. Since being home I have spent time with my family (a birthday lunch for my brother, a shopping trip with my nearly 2-year-old niece, a couple visits to my grandma's house), friends (a trip to the camp to see Bridgett and her remodeled house as well as a couple of other girls I love, a trip to Nealy's apartment, and a stop at the USF theology department. Finally, this blog was set up to chronicle my time at seminary. I am debating what I will do...

The Adventure that is Seminary: Books...
http://seminaryadventure.blogspot.com/2009/04/books.html
The Adventure that is Seminary. Monday, April 20, 2009. Last June I blogged about the books I was reading for fun and had a sudden desire to do so again. That is probably because I've been reading books all day that are for a paper and hence not fun. I will begin where I left off. 160;by Jane Austen. 160;by Jane Austen. 160;by Jane Austen. 160;by Louisa May Alcott. 160;by J.R.R. Tolkien. My next goal is to work on the works of CS Lewis.
