Down and up Italy. Friday, July 16, 2010. 19 June Albergo Diana, Lucca. The alarm went at 6am this morning, so we could pack, I could wash my hair, we could get everything down those steps, go and buy train tickets so we wouldn't have to queue later - and still have time for breakfast before the train went. I went for the tickets while Phil zip-locked my front pannier rack to its fork I've lost a screw. After this rest we went walking and had a glass of wine each in a small bar playing the Blues Brothers...

Down and up Italy. Thursday, May 27, 2010. 22 May Sienna Campground. The road took us to Buonconvento, from where there's a train to Sienna. It was already nearly 1pm – Domenico had had breakfast with us, we'd met his stylish and friendly wife, been taken for an inspection of the ancient cellar in his gorgeous house and so had left very late. We regretfully decided to skip Montelpulciano and go on to Sienna. 23 May Siena Campground. Cooked our own dinner, just remembering how. 24 May Siena camping ground.
