Down in the Sand Quilts. Thoughts from a quilter who loves living near the beach! Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Cold and Rainy at the Beach. Since the weather here today is so crummy, I thought I'd post a few pictures from a day trip we took this summer to Midland/Penetang. It turned out to be a beautiful day and we spent it by the water, going into little shops and playgrounds. Monday, September 29, 2008. Boy am I missing my camera! These are the best pictures I could get of this little quilt! And I used...

Down in the Sand Quilts. Thoughts from a quilter who loves living near the beach! Thursday, October 30, 2008. Well I've had a busy couple of days! So I may make something inspired by hers. And this is a cute Mary Englebreit. Fabric that I picked up for $2.94 a meter! I have no plans for this, I just couldn't leave it sitting there. It can just sit in my stash for a bit (big smile). Tuesday, October 28, 2008. I got a lot done today! I'm thrilled that this whole top is made from the leftovers of my hubby's...

Down in the Sand Quilts: December 2008
http://downinthesandquilts.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Down in the Sand Quilts. Thoughts from a quilter who loves living near the beach! Tuesday, December 16, 2008. We had a wonderful weekend visiting family. My older daughter was so well behaved. She made it through late night parties, lunch in a restaurant. I couldn't ask for anything more. We received a beautiful gift from one of my husband's co-workers. This pretty little quilt is hand quilted with tiny, perfect stitches that I will never be able to achieve. Wednesday, December 10, 2008. B is for bobbins.

Krill oil is oil from a tiny, shrimp-like animal. Baleen whales, mantas, and whale sharks eat primarily krill. In Norwegian, the word "krill" means "whale food." People extract the oil from krill, place it in capsules, and use it for medicine. Some brand name krill oil products indicate that they use Antarctic krill. This usually refers to the species of krill called Euphausia superba. Here at DownInThePark, we not only believe in producing products for an active lifestyle but also in providing you with ...

Down In The Roots
Down In The Roots. Sunday, July 8, 2012. When dinner was over, my friends and soon to be husband walked down the street to keep partying. My sister and I caught a taxi back to our hotel. As we walked into the hotel lobby, Heather looked into a mirror hanging on the wall and proclaimed, "Where did I get this hat from? She was referring to the rather large sombrero on her head. I was laughing even before I could answer "You took it off the wall at the restaurant.". Tuesday, July 3, 2012. It is really funny...

One ingredient that comes up frequently is Orris root and I wasn't really sure what it was. Whilst reading a Jackie French gardening book (The Best of Jackie French). This week I discovered that it was the root of a specific type of Iris. Our yard is full of Iris - although I don't think we have that particular variety - Pity. If you like Ve...
