Monday, September 23, 2013. Crafting Lap Tray Makeover. I do alot of hand work.sewing, crocheting, etc, while sitting in my comfy recliner as I watch TV. Multitasking, you know ;) But I don't know how many times that I have dropped my scissors, thread, crochet needle and such and then they slip down the side of the cushion and down into the bottom of the recliner! Which means I have to get up, turn the recliner over and try to dig out my lost items. Not fun. But I had to do something about these colors.

Wednesday, October 16, 2013. A Fall Apple-Themed Tablescape Party Idea. Last weekend, we were in Omaha visiting my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, Monkey. On Sunday, Jane (d-i-l) wanted to take us to an apple orchard for some good ol' apple pickin' before we started the trip home. There are acres and acres of vegetables and fruits. Enormous vineyards used to produce a variety of wines. And fun things for the kids to do (there is also a huge pumpkin patch but I failed to take a picture of it).

Monday, January 28, 2013. Finally found a minute to check in. We have been undergoing some major renovations here at Happy Acres for the last two months. Due to an incompetent framer we have always had major issues with our floors, that gradually got worse over time. We had to move out of the house so that the entire bottom floor could be removed and joists repaired and the floor replaced. Whoo! Just a little too old for all this work. Thanks and hope to see you there! So glad to hear from you again!
