Downstream Publishing was founded in 2010. We are a small, indie publishing house with offices in Wilmington, North Carolina; New York, New York; and Singer Island, Florida. We specialize in adult fiction and memoir, as well as select regional and national titles in general fiction and nonfiction. We publish 2 or 3 titles a year - sometimes less, sometimes more. We are interested in new voices - authors who write with depth and understanding of relationship. For examples, we selected Sandia Siegel's.

In 1985 Joan joined the staff of The Mesa Group, an advertising agency specializing in book publishing, quickly making her mark in the company. As vice president of The Mesa Group, she worked for twenty-one years with major book publishers designing ad campaigns for books, many of which became bestsellers.
