American Vignettes: November 2008

Thursday, November 20, 2008. Hempstead Long Island, Chelsea, NYC. This series came about from one thing leading to another. I traveled to Hempstead, Long Island because immigrant laborers who once had jobs working cheap labor no longer even have that. The kitchen relies on donations and state money both of which are not coming in as they once did; with everyone cutting back the kitchen fears it too will have to cut services if not close down all together leaving thousands with nothing to eat. American Vignettes: Detroit, MI

Saturday, November 8, 2008. This room embodies the essence of Detroit which I had hoped to escape at least through sleep, but the smoke woke me. In this room Detroit creeps in through every crack. It flows through the tap where fetid water flows, its metallic pollution wafts through the cracks of the window, swppes in under the bottom of the door, it clings to my clothes. El espacio entre las cosas: January 2009

El espacio entre las cosas. Friday, January 30, 2009. FOTOGRAFÍA: MAX ORTIZ / The Detroit News.

Bienvenido, 2010. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://elespacioentrelascosas.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

El espacio entre las cosas. Friday, June 26, 2009. Links to this post.

http://elespacioentrelascosas.blogspot.com/2009/01/huidas.html

January 29, 2009 ...

El espacio entre las cosas. Monday, February 16, 2009.

Lo he traído conmigo a Nueva York.

http://elespacioentrelascosas.blogspot.com/2009/01/sin-muchas-palabras.html

El espacio entre las cosas. Thursday, January 29, 2009.

Down The Road Films. In the middle of nowhere, you will find yourself. March 25, 2013. It’s been awhile. Since the last time I post I worked on a feature “Hostage”, directed by Mike Yurinko. It’s the project that I mentioned a few posts ago. I wound up running the 2nd camera but it was ok.
