Wednesday, February 6, 2013. Our Christmas, A Pre-Christmas. Since we were leaving for Australia on December 23rd, we would completely miss Christmas eve and arrive on Christmas day. I notified Santa Claus of our predicament, and he gladly offered to make an extra early stop to our house on the 22nd. The kids were extra nice this year. Then we went home to prepare for St Nick. Cookies and carrots for Santa and his reindeer. The kids getting one last chance to be nice before Santa comes.

Sunday, January 29, 2012. Yep, the good kind. We took Miles and Masie down the slopes at Purgatory in Durango, CO. We had a sweet hook-up from a friend to stay in her condo. Since we left late Wednesday to make it 4 hours down the road, we snuggled the kids in the jammies. I was a bit spooked. The man said they were waiting for a water truck to hose it all off. Saturday, December 22, 2012. These are photos I just had to share. He keeps me awake at night then can’t stay awake for lunch. Tickles from big brother. Preparing for cooler temps. The girls had a few weeks of no preschool, and then they headed back to join Mrs. Gale’s class again. Short Lars just can’t stand to pee yet. What a mess! Miles lost his first tooth just as he was about to begin his piano lesson. Smoothies made by Dad. Miles went to his first NBA game. GO SUNS! I little more decorating.

Tuesday, March 13, 2012. We’re a bunch of animals in this house. So I hurt my back a week ago Friday. Not a great thing to happen as a mother or an active person. Moving slow does not fit with my schedule. The only comfortable position for me was lying on my back with my feet propped up on the wall. The kids were happy to join me there for story time. I’m much better now so you won’t catch me lying around! The giraffe is “huge! Lars making animal sounds at Lyla who is clearly not impressed.

Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Sunday afternoons can be a bit rough for Luke and me. The kids are totally wired and we parents are usually needing some serious quiet. It’s nice that it’s getting easier to take the kids out and about. It’s easier if Luke comes anyway. I thought Sunday afternoon would be more enjoyable for all of us if we took a drive looking for cooler weather and a picnic dinner. Suckers and sunglasses helped pass the time in the car. Monday, June 11, 2012. End of School Year. Miles graduated from kindergarten. I’m not sure why it’s called a graduation when he’s just heading into another class at the same school. First grade next year! And that means he’ll be at school all day! One down and 3 to go. The “graduation” made for cute photos, and that’s probably why his school celebrates it! Miles and then Sam receiving their certificates. This is another of Miles’s good buddies, Ashton. Lyla helping me to get a smile out of Masie.

Saturday, May 19, 2012. May brings new haircuts. Chocolate milk at the park. Probably the last of our park hopping because of the heat. Another mud run with family and friends. Both boys in big beds because the little one kept climbing out of his crib. Luke asked us to pretend to be sleeping when we tested out the new bottom mattress. A summer stomach flu shared by everyone except Miles and me. We went out for dinner together while the rest of the house didn’t have appetites. A windy day at the splash pad.
