We visited 3 of the larger cities while in southeastern Australia -. Click on the map above to see our route. Melbourne, with a population of over 3 million, is a cultural melting pot and a center for international exhibitions and sporting events. The city center is a grid of streets north of the Yarra River. Across a pedestrian bridge is Southbank, an entertainment and shopping area. The Federation Square precinct is a conglomerate of attractions including 3 art galleries and an open-air amphitheatre.

Our trip from January 01, 2006 to March 16, 2006 took us from Calgary via Los Angeles to Singapore flying with Singapore Airlines. After several days we flew to Christchurch, New Zealand and commenced our two week tour of the South Island. We then took the ferry from Picton to Wellington on the North Island and toured it for two weeks also. We are working on re-constructing our Down Under Trip website...
