It was only a brief wander but the weather and atmosphere were great. Everyone was cheering on the runners and giving them plenty of support. As they explode from the Eye on the same side you get a partial view but that’s fine. Overall they were decent but not breath taking. It does make me wonder why London doesn’t make greater use of the buildings, river barges and bridges to make it a real spectacle alongside other major cities. Again this was a super popular exhibit which meant trying to see items and importantly read the information was particularly challenging. The collection covered an array of movies so while Dorothy’s red shoes might not be your thing then Indiana Jones may be more to your liking. Without knowing anything about jazz I’ll have to fall back on the classic “I know it when I see (or hear) it”. The concert was several hours long but didn’t feel like it. Got there an hour or so before it was meant to start with my friend. Even then we were two people deep from our chosen spot on the river. Luckily I’m tall enough to see over fairly easily.
