John and Peggy Andersen. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Temple Trip to Freiberg. Germany has the most picturesque countrysides and hamlets of all the countries we travelled through. We drove through 6 countries to get to the temple including Bulgaria. Old Town Freiberg has typical 16th to 19th century architecture. This is in one of their squares in old town. The spire of the temple at 8:00 am just before we embarked on our 24 hour trip back to Bulgaria, and another 24 hours without sleep. Kari and her kids.

We were impressed with this site as well, though it did not hold the same emotional appeal for me as at the 6th crossing site. After wandering through Wyoming and Colorado we ended up in St. George where Spencer w. Cassie turned 3 on Sunday as well, so we had a great time giving her a birthday party. Talent presentations and stories of the birth of Christ. We even had Santa Claus come visit the children. The costume was not as elaborate, but the children were just as excited. Sorry that we did, but our memories are good. In Ruse, we took the teacher and missionaries out to dinner. Varna's class met on Sat. morning, so no dinner there. John and Peggy Andersen. Sunday, March 22, 2009. This is a huge cistern from that time period. The Romans had many gods, but their favorites were Hercules and Diana. All these items were found in the ruins. The local people worshipped their own Thracian gods. Their favorite was the one on horseback with his dog.
