After a thoroughly enjoyable day in Big Bend and a restful stay at The Gage we took off to explore the infamous town of Marfa. Filled with unique shops, modern art galleries, high-end restaurants, cute little grocers, funky food trucks, and modern-chic hotels, it is truly a baffling place. We parked our car and hit most of town on foot, even with some scattered showers. We perused the selection at Marfa Book Co. Had a coffee at Do Your Thing. And visited Wrong Store. We saw the exhibits at Ballroom Marfa.

Stone Henge in Texas. Trip, we realized one of our favorite swedish pop singers was coming to Texas in February. Leon is one of my favorites and continues to put out the catchiest/realest of pop songs. The tickets were 15$, so you know we decided to go. Leon played at Antone’s. In Austin. After work on Friday we jetsetted over there and made it just in time. We caught some of Jacob Banks. A quick Pinterest search led us to Airport Diner in an old airport hangar! We attempted to stop at Pedernales Falls S...

MARFA City Guide Pt 2. After filling ourselves with warm coffee (hot chocolate for me) and pastries, we started the 40 minute drive to the iconic Prada store, which is not actually in Marfa. When we arrived, we were disappointed to see it was. Raining and cold and windy. But damn it we weren’t going to let that stop us from getting a great photo. And I think we did pretty well considering my limbs were about to fall off. After our Prada adventure (and it. Lunch at Food Shark. For dinner we ate at Stellin...

May 13, 2015. The Marfans have landed! A long, weird weekend in Marfa, Texas. Wild at heart and weird on top. Neil D.A. Stewart drives into the Texas desert to the town that Donald Judd built Marfa. So I hear you’re gonna be working here? Asks Bro 1 of the girl typing on her tablet. She finishes a sentence and looks up, irritated. I. I’m in a coffee place in the backstreets of Marfa, Texas, and I’d love to tell you its name, but I can’t figure out whether it’s called Do Your Thing. Marfa is a place of li...
