Book Reviews with a distinct point of view.mine! March 04, 2016. Prudence by David Treuer. Does getting old necessarily require one to get cranky and curmudgeonly? I only ask because I fear it may be true in my case. By David Treuer and as I began to write my review I noticed a blurb on the book jacket by Toni Morrison. That blurb read, A wondrous and mesmerizing narrative intricate, seductive, and wholly gratifying . Which brings me back to my first question because Ms. Morrison and I disagree about.
