Eflat alto trail runner: July 2008
http://eflattrailrunner.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Eflat alto trail runner. Life on and off the trail and finding balance in it all. Thursday, July 17, 2008. I went for my MRI arthrogram. Oh how I love drugs! The downer is, if it didn't hurt, then it is most likely a labral tear. The good news is that means it's probably not a stress fracture (which I doubted anyway). Next I was sent to the MRI suite where I was greeted by Aaron, the tech who did my MRI on my ovaries last year - about a year ago exactly! No labral tear or stress fracture - just a really ...

Eflat alto trail runner: time on my hands
http://eflattrailrunner.blogspot.com/2009/09/time-on-my-hands.html
Eflat alto trail runner. Life on and off the trail and finding balance in it all. Friday, September 25, 2009. Time on my hands. Facebook is down yet again and has been all afternoon and evening. What did I do before FB? I read blogs. And I blogged more. AND I got more other stuff done. You lived those hours and life happened, with you as a participant. Time to live. Eflat alto trail runner: June 2008
http://eflattrailrunner.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Eflat alto trail runner. Life on and off the trail and finding balance in it all. Thursday, June 26, 2008. On cancellation of Western States '08:. Life is what happens when you're making other plans. There was another somewhat appropriate quote from Marat/Sade. On getting violently ill from food poisoning and recovering:. And sipping Nuun today to rebalance the electrolytes is a good lesson too. Labels: trail running ultralessons. Tuesday, June 24, 2008. I left the house around 8 and ran by the parade.

Eflat alto trail runner: August 2008
http://eflattrailrunner.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Eflat alto trail runner. Life on and off the trail and finding balance in it all. Saturday, August 30, 2008. Cascade Crest 100 - volunteer duties. Last weekend I did my first volunteer stint at a 100 miler - Cascade Crest 100. I've been pretty lax getting something posted about it - even most of the bloggers who ran it have already managed to get a race report up. Oh well.At WR50. Asked if I wanted to work at No Name Ridge with her and James. And he had fallen at Cutthroat Classic. We arrived, after a ni...

flirty 'n dirty: Red Rock Preview...
http://flirtyndirty.blogspot.com/2009/09/red-rock-preview.html
Confessions of a Trail-running Tart. Monday, September 28, 2009. Red Rock-Gibraltar-almost Forbush Flat-then back). Apparently I'm not doing too well with keeping up-to-date on this blog. I ran this trail the day after the Romero Canyon, but clearly it's been a while since I posted- and I have multiple other runs to write about! I started with the plan of doing two 8-10 mile loops. I thought I would use my car as an aid station rather than trying to go 16-20 on one hydration bladder. After that, the trai...

Alaskab4udie: March 2011
http://alaskab4udie.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 12, 2011. We are back in Anchorage after 10 days in Pennsylvania eating sausage, hoagies, cheesesteaks, and pizza, drinking beer and wine with every meal, and moving between social outings with the least amount of movement possible. Brian and I felt the burn and the fat rolling over our waistlines as we rode the Middle Fork trail today, a ride of about 4 1/2 hours in which I felt like I had never even trained for a 100 mile race. Photos to come and some good news. Links to this post.

Alaskab4udie: Happy New Year!
http://alaskab4udie.blogspot.com/2011/01/happy-new-year.html
Saturday, January 1, 2011. In three brief hours of insanity, the Anchorage Assembly lifted the ban on fireworks within the city last night. What a great idea, let's wait until everyone in town is good and drunk and then give them a bunch of fireworks and a lighter and let them go to town. For the rest of the night we alternated between watching fireworks and dancing, bringing in the new year in style. Thanks Josh and Alexa! Happy New Year and glad you guys came to celebrate! What a great night!

Alaskab4udie: Portage Lake Ride
http://alaskab4udie.blogspot.com/2011/01/portage-lake-ride.html
Saturday, January 15, 2011. We had been hearing about the ice on Portage Lake all week. The conditions were perfect. It had been cold enough for a long enough period of time for the entire lake to freeze solid. On top of that all of the snow had been blown off by winds, making it perfect for riding with studded tires. Good photos, but I especially like that top one. Great ride yesterday. January 16, 2011 at 11:50 AM. January 18, 2011 at 9:23 AM. Bike ride, then ice climb? D I giggled about you telling yo...

Alaskab4udie: White Mountains 100 (this is a long one)
http://alaskab4udie.blogspot.com/2010/03/white-mountains-100-this-is-long-one.html
Friday, March 26, 2010. White Mountains 100 (this is a long one). The White Mountains 100 race course was not familiar to most of the racers that lined up at the start on Sunday morning. Some had ridden parts of the trail, some all of it, but some of us had never been there before and none of us had ever raced it. And I didn't ride for about a week and a half. The taper became a complete period of rest. Then suddenly as the race was upon us, I got back on the bike to test out my setup and my exci...Not o...
