Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Acid Sunrise - a 70's CB chop. Monday, June 10, 2013. Rock Flute: Tuning Session 2, in the rain. I spent some time going over a few things on the bike prior to continuing with the carb tune. Tune the drive, tune the clutch etc. etc. Tunessss mannn. All positive waves. Full compression of the clutch plates. Ohh well. Later I will find another clutch lever with a longer throw. The final steps are to replace the rocker shafts and run a tool over every nut and bolt. HOME STRETCH!

Sunday, July 26, 2015. Cleaning out a fuel tank with vinegar. This is a followup to a previous post. Thanks for reminding me Shep. The CB550 tank was a mess of rust and varnish inside so I used a mild acid called vinegar to clean it out. The vinegar sat in the tank for about 5 days and was shaken now and then to agitate it. So does vinegar work to derust a tank? Yes I would say so. Is it easier to deal with than say, MEK? Do you really have to wait 5 days for it to clean the tank? Progress on the CB550.

Thursday, May 23, 2013. Painting the Fender - Part 2. After spraying a clear coat over the fender I had to start over. The clear paint I was using was incompatible with the black paint, so once it dried it turned white and looked really cloudy. I ran my finger across it and in came off like dust in some spots. Just a little thing to throw in my bag when I go out for rides and I typically used it for quick snapshots to use as reference for later art projects. I think it finally died the other day.
