Wednesday, November 27, 2013. It's the day before Thanksgiving, and my news feed and conversations with people and work with my student and everything I hear on the radio and everyone's decorations are all about Thanksgiving. Which makes sense. I myself am currently starting a giant batch of roll dough for the bajillion dinner rolls I am making to contribute to my Mom's Thanksgiving dinner, and we'll be driving there tomorrow to spend the whole day and celebrate. Saturday, January 3, 2015. We are three now! And we'll be able to see this little person face to face sometime in July (yes, we have a due date, but I'm not going to be stubborn about it as I'm sure Baby won't be as punctual as we would prefer). God is good, and we are excited about this new phase in our lives. No morning sickness to speak of. Good first Dr's appointment and ultrasound. Strong heartbeat and active baby. An attentive and thoughtful husband. Financial stability and good health insurance.

Friday, January 3, 2014. Flavors. Dinner. Yum. Last night I made Chicken and Pumpkin Soup. We had leftover chilis in adobo sauce from something fancy Fraser made earlier this week, and pumpkin from a Christmas pie, and one last pair of chicken breasts from a package, and there are always leftover parts of onions in the fridge and partial bags of frozen veggies in the freezer. I put together a salad from another source, but I heavily edited it. It was a Mexican Salad with Honey Lime. Tops of 2 green onions.
