http://ayearinthelifeofmywildlifegarden.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF MY WILDLIFE GARDEN. Thursday, 15 January 2015. I treated myself to this Hellebore or Lenten Rose just before Christmas - it was half price in a sale of garden plants at Baddesley Clinton. Its still waiting in the porch to be planted out. I feel a bit pessimistic about its chances as this is the 3rd hellebore I have bought - the other two disappeared without trace! For some reason, perhaps the type of soil? Wednesday, 7 January 2015. WEDNESDAY, 7TH JANUARY. Tuesday, 6 January 2015.

A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF MY WILDLIFE GARDEN. Thursday, 28 May 2015. A Peppered Moth ( Biston betularia. Was in the moth trap yesterday morning - another new species for the year. This species provides a good example of evolution by natural selection in action. Unfortunately, the species is now declining and the numbers of Peppered Moths had declined by two thirds between 1968 and 2002 - the reasons for the decline are unknown. Tuesday, 26 May 2015. This weekend I trapped just a handful of moths. Bee Moth - ...

A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF MY WILDLIFE GARDEN. Sunday, 5 July 2015. Sorry for lack of posts recently but we've been away for a week to the Isle of Wight.
