Sigils as forms of Psychological Alteration: magicexperiment
http://magicexperiment.livejournal.com/2605.html
Sigils as forms of Psychological Alteration. We all know about sigils (and to an extent, probably have heard WAY too much of them by now). I myself use them, but mainly for personal uses - I find they're psychological alterers par excellance. Stop smoking. Loose weight. Remembering something. I've found it quite effective, and have even noticed a pattern: in 1-3 days I suddenly recall the sigil. At that point the desired psychological change kicks in. The only sad part is they don't always last.

Magickal Systems as Adaptive Tools: magicexperiment
http://magicexperiment.livejournal.com/2818.html
Magickal Systems as Adaptive Tools. In reading Pema Chodron's book "No Exit", Pema, a Buddist, spoke of one of her teachers who proposed a simple outlook:. 1)View yourself always in a sacred space. 2)Everything that enters that space is going to teach you something. Even if it's awful. 2a) You might as well take the attitude in #2 because whatever shows up probably isn't going away anyway. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. Tarot, psychology, and more.: magicexperiment
http://magicexperiment.livejournal.com/1473.html
Tarot, psychology, and more. I use this model as its simple, effective, and psychologically satisfying, and was derived from looking over the simplest way to do a spread, psychologically. Returning to that thought lately, I began wondering about an interesting idea: Using psychological (and even phyisiological? Models for tarot spreads? Could you do a 3-card reading for ID, Ego, and Superego? An 8-card spread reflecting the MBTI? Just some food for thought. Post a new comment. Post a new comment.

PC Software needed for experiemetation.: magicexperiment
http://magicexperiment.livejournal.com/4076.html
PC Software needed for experiemetation. I am trying to work on a series of experiements. That involve constructing nice little techno-industrial songs. Oh yes this will be very magical in nature. Anyone have anything they can share or know a site where I could pick up the software. I just cant afford the 300 for an experiement.if it works and I like it . I will get the lastest and greatest thing. Of course, I mean to rent or buy the software for people who would think the worst. Wink wink.

Kicking an idea around: magicexperiment
http://magicexperiment.livejournal.com/1601.html
Kicking an idea around. Based on previous conversations, I wanted to pose this question:. What non-magical models could one use for Tarot spreads or similar works. I figure we can do a whip-round here for ideas. My ideas so far:. The Freudian idea of the Mind (one card for ID, one for Ego, one for Superego). The Four Ego Functions. Of Jung (which'd be pretty easy to relate to the four elements, as we've seen). Test, which I've also seen related (poorly) to the Minor Arcana. Post a new comment.

How often do you get "off the magical groove": magicexperiment

How often do you get "off the magical groove". Just a question - that could be worth deeper discussion - how often do you get off your "groove" - off your practice, meditation, spells, regular schedule, etc? Post a new comment. Kicking some things off: magicexperiment
http://magicexperiment.livejournal.com/686.html
Kicking some things off. So I figured I'd ask what people were up to, experiment-wise. Maybe give us ideas for some work together or share ideas. BREATH WORK: Before a lot of work stress, I'd managed to do some Taoist Abdominal breathing really well. Returning is hard (I get REAL tense), but I'm using it to explore various breathing techniques, and I am doing some experiments on how padagrims of physical concepts (chakras, meridians, etc.) affect conciousness. An interesting Tarot Deck: magicexperiment
http://magicexperiment.livejournal.com/839.html
An interesting Tarot Deck. I wanted to share this with people. A friend's art project. He created the Major Arcana using fonts only. Based things on some of the GD/Crowley color concepts. A fascinating and interesting idea. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post.
