OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS. Nanny and Grandpa's journal on living on a mini farm, taking care of a host of "animals". Thursday, January 8, 2009. Our December was a whirlwind of blessings. God is always good but we have so much to be thankful for. The following is a hodgepodge of Grandpa and Nanny's Blessings. A new addition to the family. Welcome Gracie. She is 4 weeks old here and not home yet. Alyssa spent time coloring with Grandpa. The gazebo in the snow and 3 beautiful grand daughters.

I have been out sprucing up the front yard and have planted the peas. February brought a sad but sweet farewell to my mother. We celebrated her life on February 7th. Sunday, June 8, 2008. There's no place like HOME! We finally got out of Cincinnati Saturday morning and didn't stop until we got home. As soon as we turned onto our street, Eli started yelling "I see my home! I see my home! I don't think we've ever been more excited to see our house before (except maybe when we finally got to move in! O if any of you remember what Paxton looked like at the age of one then you know that his cut had changed at the age of two. Well it has changed again. No more mop on top. I decided I was tired of it looking like a mess so I cut it down to an 1" on top and 1/2" on the sides. Here are some pictures of the progression. He really looks alot like his Daddy when daddy has more hair.
