Drawings Anonymous

Wednesday, May 11, 2016. These are the other three paintings that I showed at the exhibition.I had five in all. I ended up selling the zebra, and a sunset that I posted a photo of awhile back. :) It was a really great experience, and I met a lot of other artists. It was a long day, but I really enjoyed it. This one's small - 8x10 inches, about 5 hours of work. I really enjoy working in black and white. A good friend of mine purchased it on Saturday. :). Thursday, April 28, 2016. I have two paintings ready.

Drawings Anonymous: July 2015

http://drawingsanonymous.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

Tuesday, July 21, 2015. I've always wanted to paint, but starting was the hardest part. In America, good, quality acrylic or oil paint is expensive, and then you have to buy the brushes, the canvas, everything. It gets complicated. And for someone like me, a teenager in a third world country, how was I ever going to be able to LEARN how to paint? My mom met an artist at a craft fair, and he agreed to teach my friend and I how to paint. Little did we know. First, where do you get your canvas? Bold' is the...

Drawings Anonymous: February 2014

http://drawingsanonymous.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

Thursday, February 20, 2014. These things are awesome. They're a little bit bigger than cats and have a lot of the same habits, but aren't closely related. I've been wanting to draw one for a long time. So I started this one like six months ago. Sitting in the sketchbook in a humid climate took it's toll, so some of the shading is a little off. But I promise that the background isn't that sketchy in real life - that I can blame on the scanner. Friday, February 14, 2014. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Thursday, April 17, 2014. So this puppy is mine. He's been mine for a few months - I found him running around and of course I had to take him home. I was supposed to give him away, but.he attached to me and is quite the little guard dog. Unfortunately he doesn't listen to anyone else in my family. That doesn't help when he gets in trouble and I'm still asleep. All the same, he's the best. And the cutest. And the naughtiest.). And his name is Stryder. (:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Drawings Anonymous: July 2013

http://drawingsanonymous.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Okay, so several weeks ago I took an all-day Saturday class from my art teacher on watercolors. I wasn't sure about it at first because even though I'd always wanted to paint, I didn't find the thought of the watery ways of watercolors (ooh, alliteration! To be attractive. I thought I'd end up using acrylic or maybe oil. I am very happy with how it turned out. The only problem is that I don't have a name for it. :) Any ideas? Sorry: this is also a phone picture). D This one took...

The Edge: November 2014

http://hyperlinkzer.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Or should I say. Anyways. It's been a long time, but I finally have something to post! Yesterday (Sunday) was my piano teacher's annual studio recital, in which I performed two pieces by composer Franz Liszt: La Campanella and Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. The first of those didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped, but the Rhapsody was good. My teacher's husband filmed it, so I thought I'd share it with you all. :) (If anybody actually visits this blog anymore XD). Hope you enjoyed. :). Links to this post.

From A Jagged Inkwell: Skilled Characters

http://jagswiftstorm.blogspot.com/2013/08/skilled-characters.html

Thursday, 22 August 2013. Should characters be perfect? Skilled in everything, flawless, all-knowing, and all-powerful? Of course not. Or at least–not most of the time. 'Perfect' (or seemingly perfect) can have their places sometimes. But should characters be the opposite? Having no virtues, no skills, no learning, and no motivation? I would give the same answer as to the above question. No–or at least rarely. I've recently read two books of the Staff and Sword. Series– A Cast of Stones. And A Hero's Lot.

Thanks - God Bless! Saturday, October 12, 2013. So, this is my first drawing of anyone in Doctor Who. Why did I do it? I may go back and touch up the shading, but for now this is it. If you'd like to purchase a print of this drawing, you can do so here. Possibly more Doctor Who drawings in the future? Haha, isnt tha...

From A Jagged Inkwell: June 2014

http://jagswiftstorm.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Saturday, 28 June 2014. But epicness alone isn't enough. Epicness can be a taster to draw in readers, but it shouldn't be the full meal. Give a reader an epic story, and they'll probably remember it. But after it's been read enough times, the epicness wears thin. Reading about the same amazing scenes and magnificent structures over and over again can get tiring. But give them something that will stay with them forever. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

Monday, 11 August 2014. On Proving the Nonexistence of God. Let us assume that a divine being exists. Furthermore, this divine being, in addition to being immaterial and supernatural, is also omnipotent and omniscient. Any divine being possessing these characteristics could blind any non-divine being as to the existence of the divine being, and, if they wished, could make it appear that they never existed. Therefore, it is impossible for any non-divine being to prove the nonexistence of a divine being.

From A Jagged Inkwell: Sacrifice

http://jagswiftstorm.blogspot.com/2013/09/sacrifice.html

Saturday, 21 September 2013. This is the first in a (hopefully) series of posts co-written by me and fellow teenage author, R. A. H. Thacker, who can be found at Sunset Rising. This post can also be found at his blog. No, we’re not talking about human sacrifice. Or maybe we are. But we’re actually talking about self-sacrifice–and not some suicidal tribal custom, either. More specifically, how to use it in fiction. Why does sacrifice stir our hearts? Why does it affect us like nothing else? Therefore, I u...

The Edge: I got bored.

http://hyperlinkzer.blogspot.com/2014/08/i-got-bored.html

My work schedule has allowed me a few moments of free time! Ceeellllllleebrate good times COME ON. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything quick to post, so I guess I'll have to resort to a rough-edged portion of EDGE. Now for the dramatic flashback. The year was 2068. June 26. Dawn stretched out its early tendrils of light among the worn buildings of Carson City, Nevada. Indoors, the constant thud. Of the cops’ footsteps got on the last nerve of one particular tween. Wilbur Eiffelman had had enough.
