Back To The Drawing Board

Monday, 20 October 2014. I've decided my portfolio needs some updating and more specific direction. One of the areas I really want to explore is RPG illustration, card games and similar outlets. So, here's the beginning. Like most of my stuff, this is ink on board, and I've already started the digital colour version. Posted by Scott Cooper. Saturday, 26 July 2014. Posted by Scott Cooper. Monday, 31 March 2014. Posted by Scott Cooper. Monday, 30 December 2013. No, wait, it's all good. I had decided to put...

Back To The Drawing Board: Supernatural Heroine

http://www.drawn2comics.blogspot.com/2014/03/supernatural-heroine.html

Monday, 31 March 2014. I've been considering a character for some time who would fit into a supernatural/horror kind of theme, and after a fair bit of messing about, I think I have the look I want. This is the complete sequence of pencils, inks and digital colour. Now, I just have to write the story. Posted by Scott Cooper. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Watermark template. Back To The Drawing Board: Drawing the Undead!

http://www.drawn2comics.blogspot.com/2013/11/drawing-undead.html

Saturday, 16 November 2013. The point of this post was to share some designs for the Undead. I get to draw zombies! When the pages are done I'll post some of them, but not likely before the magazine is out. Sorry, I don't have a date for that. Posted by Scott Cooper. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Back To The Drawing Board: May 2013

http://www.drawn2comics.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

Sunday, 26 May 2013. I was very disappointed to be unable to attend my monthly figure painting session today. So, in self defence, I broke out the digital paintbox to attempt a quick study. Most of my recent posts have been comics and cartoon related, but I have been looking at trying some of the painting tools in SketchBook Pro and MangaStudio 5, just to see how they stack up against my elderly version of Photoshop. And I have been very pleased with their performance. Posted by Scott Cooper. He has also...

Back To The Drawing Board: December 2013

http://www.drawn2comics.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html

Monday, 30 December 2013. No, wait, it's all good. I've been busy with a comics style illustration project for the last little while, and today I sent off the files for final approval. Sounds like we're good to go, finally. But there were some problems during production. I had decided to put the vampire character's face in deep shadow, to add more drama and mystery, or so I thought. But when I looked at the final inks, I was not happy. This is, frankly, crap - heavy-handed and poorly executed. First, on ...

Back To The Drawing Board: October 2013

http://www.drawn2comics.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 30 October 2013. As promised, another Hallowe'en themed illustration. This is disappointing, the colour washed out considerably when I uploaded it here; have to figure that one out. Posted by Scott Cooper. Monday, 28 October 2013. It's that time of year again - creepies and crawlies and things that go bump! I have a couple of other Hallowe'en-themed pieces on the go, so keep an eye out - they will be along soon! Posted by Scott Cooper. Tuesday, 1 October 2013. Everything Old Is New Again.

Painter Of Women

What can I say? I love to draw and paint women. Sunday, December 20, 2015. And going to more figure drawing classes than ever! Posted by Bill Mather at 8:15 PM. Tuesday, February 05, 2013. Somethin' I'm workin' on. It's full length, but I'm working out her outfit. Should have it finished in a few days. Posted by Bill Mather at 3:15 AM. Friday, February 01, 2013. My POW studio in Venice. Really inspired here! That's a portrait of Lana Del Rey I'm working on. 18 x 24". She's as beautiful as her lyrics!
