The Sandbox: Ghostwriting Elite | touch the sky
https://rjonestps.wordpress.com/2016/04/05/the-sandbox-ghostwriting-elite
To have faith is to have wings. The Sandbox: Ghostwriting Elite. Our Sandbox assignment was to ghostwrite a chapter of someone else’s novella. I chose to ghostwrite Lorena’s story,. It’s a cool dystopian story, you should check it out! Mac insisted we continue our training like I really needed any of that despite yesterday’s attack. My mind was only half on the exercise. I was a good fighter, even without my powers. What I was really concerned about was Greyson Smith. Why had he wanted me? I don’t know t...

To have faith is to have wings. The Sandbox: Round Robin. We did Pass-a-Story this week! The teacher glanced at the clock. It was almost time to go, so she made her final comments to the group. Good luck with your homework! A student raised her hand. Um, before we go, can I share something? I went time-traveling the other day and brought back something interesting. (MARINOV). HOLLAND) Is that a dinosaur egg? And how do you know that? What have you done? And how did you even– (MARINOV). The bell that sign...

To have faith is to have wings. The Sandbox: Ohana Valedictorian Speech. Means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. Andrea straightens her flower crown, going over her speech one last time in her head. As valedictorian, she sits in a place of honor on the stage. The large crowd of families, friends, faculty, and classmates sits before her, but if there’s one thing Andrea is good at, it’s talking. Her name is called, and Andrea steps up to the podium. I know that I can’t convey the g...

CW13: A Wedding Without an E | touch the sky

To have faith is to have wings. CW13: A Wedding Without an E. January 5, 2016. For CW we had to write about a wedding or party without using the letter E. The result of mine is as awkward as you’d imagine writing without E would be. I may or may not have cheated a little. I’m considering rewriting it with E, but I haven’t fully decided. P.S. – do you even realize how many words have E in them? A classic bridal march plays, and Lily shows up, joyful and smiling, willowy form almost drown’d in satin and or...

Writing Tips | touch the sky

To have faith is to have wings. Don’t be afraid to kill your darlings. I know that phrase is perfect, but if it drags down your writing instead of holding it up, it’s gonna have to go. Try saving good phrases that you can’t use. Maybe they’ll be useful later in something else. If you’re facing writer’s block, try a different thinking method. Maybe sketch your plot, or write by hand. Tell someone what you have so far. Different people’s minds work differently, so others may have ideas for you. The Sandbox...

To have faith is to have wings. The Sandbox 4: Mad Lib. For this week’s Sandbox we took a paragraph from any previous assignment and turned it into a mad lib. I used my “no E” CW. Enjoy! Verb ending in ing :. Part of the body:. Today Auburn curls cascading. Frothy and flowing, laugh particularly musical. With a navy crystal sits at Lil’s throat. Sis grins as I snap a last photo. I turn to Lissa and Sarah, taking candids of navy skirts swirling, whooshing. I hug. My sis and abandon this tiny. The Sandbox:...

To have faith is to have wings. The Sandbox: Imagining a Reader. February 23, 2016. Our Sandbox assignment was to imagine someone reading our novel project, then write about it.]. Shannon opened her WordPress account, looking for something entertaining to read to Hunter, her sick ten-year-old. She scrolled through her feed, stopping at a word she didn’t recognize. It wasn’t distinct enough for her to recognize the language, so she clicked on it. Can’t I just watch a movie, Mom? Can I play a video game?
