For the first three years living in Yeadon I felt alone. I use crutches to help my mobility. I met DREAM. And I was invited to join them at their meetings. I would say that is the best thing that I have ever done. Now I am a committee member and really enjoying it. I am the chair person and founder of DREAM. As a disabled person I had a lot of negative experiences. I was determined that out of all the negatives something positive would emerge. That positive was DREAM. Made me dare to dream! T- shirt....

How DREAM was formed. Was formed in October 2004 by Brenda Taylor who lives in Yeadon, North West Leeds. After a hospital admission and returning home she was experiencing social isolation and the lack of opportunities for disabled people aged 18 - 65 to meet in her area. Having concluded that there must be other people in the same situation, DREAM. Was formed with initial support from VA-L and L.I.P. The aims of DREAM. Support disabled people’s recreational needs.
