One Day Three Waterfalls. We sat down on the banks of Hasehalla stream, which forms the falls. Anil talked about visiting Benne Falls, Mattighatta Falls and Vibhoothi Falls in one day. I liked the idea and agreed. We wanted to see 3 waterfalls in one day just for the heck of it and fixed November 1, 2004 as the date. I was not aware that there is lunch everyday at Durgaparameshwari temple in Manjuguni. Arun cursed me for not having this very important information as if all those chapathis (he ate 14!

Honnemardu - a place out of your world! I woke up at around 4:30 and the bus was already in the thick of 'Malnad' (translates to rain country). It was a bit cold and very much misty. Honnemardu camp is managed by a dedicated team of nature enthusiasts called 'Adventurers'. The group had its office in Bangalore and to go to Honnemardu we needed to book our seats 2 weeks in advance). We met a guy called 'Muthu' there who would be our team leader (TL/PL? For our stay there. Honnemardu is not. Fun in the sun.

Take a bus from Sringeri which goes to Kigga.You will not get a bus which takes you near the waterfall you will have to walk 5kms after you get down at Kigga. There is motorable way to the waterfall.

Friday, November 05, 2010. This is one sanctuary that I should visit many times over in every season. The colors that it offers is amazing to see. Here is a Nilgiri Thar that just showed up at a distance during the evening. While returning from Munnar, Nanda spotted this Malabar Giant Squirrel right beside the road. Sunday, August 01, 2010. Visit to Bannerghatta NP. Thanks to Dinesh and our own initiative from MindTree foundation, I got a chance to see all the areas (so called "core")of Bannerghatta NP today. We have plans of putting up D/N PTZ Cameras at about 50 watch towers inside the park. And I've got the onus to get the complete system up from the surveillance perspective.
