The Back Burner: Grief and Cats
http://ladygracedreamweaver.blogspot.com/2014/01/grief-and-cats.html
Reflections of a Kitchen Witch. Thursday, January 23, 2014. Ten years ago I moved from Atlanta to South Carolina. I had lost virtually everything. My home, my children, my coven. The evil ex-boyfriend had spread lies that took years to live down. Some still affect my life in profound ways. In no particular order, and with duplicates because I love the pictures, I share these with you. Tannis when Thor came to live with us. Little John and Legba. Dickens and me 2010. Yesterday the last of my sixteen cats ...

Reflections of a Kitchen Witch. Friday, April 26, 2013. I don't know Baily. I only know that for her senior show, Baily chose to sculpt horses. While these pictures do not do her work justice, I share them just the shame. For a short time, the amazing creations can be found at the front entrance of Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. Amazing how, in the hand of an artist, metal captures the grace and beauty of a horse. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Heroine of this drama: DreamWeaver.

Reflections of a Kitchen Witch. Friday, March 15, 2013. Echoes of the Past. In 1999 I divorced a man I had know for ten years and been married to for five. The old saying about not knowing someone until you live with them had proven abundantly true, and escaping such a psychologically abusive relationship was tough. It was. The bastard. Links to this post. Thursday, March 14, 2013. Project Hope: Started Feb 4. I've begun this journey a number of times. And I've always lost the weight and kept if as l...

Reflections of a Kitchen Witch. Thursday, January 15, 2015. Learning bead weaving techniques (self-teaching with YouTube and the like.) Was inspired to try my first brick stitch in the round. the inspiration:. Now, I would not likely wear this elegant piece because it's just not in keeping with my work wardrobe. Reflections of a Kitchen Witch. Monday, December 30, 2013. Is the title of a book by Ferrel Sams, an author I had the privilege to meet in the 1990s. It also covers the work I've done over the last six weeks, trying to get everyone's gifts ready. A year ago January, I started teaching myself to crochet (thank heavens for youtube.com! I'm left handed, and I've taught myself to work right handed so I can follow the videos. It's been an interesting journey. Close up of grandson's blanket. Like Rosie, Lugh h...

Reflections of a Kitchen Witch. Thursday, March 22, 2012. Life's Journey: Mono and Hep B. Some days the path gets a bit complicated. Take out your stew pot. Put that thought on the back burner. I was diagnosed with mononucleosis, Hepatitis B and a staph throat infection. What we know now, but didn't know then, is that, according to monotreatment.com. I don't remember going to the hospital, the exams or the tests. I do remember being isolated while we waited for test results. I didn't understand t...I cam...
