Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Maybe we should retitle this blog dress a month since that's how long it's been since we posted. Time flies and all that. We painted this piece of fabric a while back. Couple of months at least. Loved it but it seemed hard to use. It was only a yard and the design demanded a minimum of seaming. We kept envisioning a strapless mini sheath but every time we tried draping it, it just looked like some chick wrapped herself in a very colorful towel. What to do?

In 1967, a group of Prescott, Arizona nurses started DRESS A CHILD, to provide warm clothing to 17 needy children in the local community. The program now clothes over 500 needy children annually. Each Fall, local schools and community childrens agencies provide referrals for children in need. Dress A Day In May. Spokane has had a cold winter, a wet spring, and none of our normally beautiful sunny weather. I will usher it in, with a dress (or skirt) a day in May, 2011. It started as a simple idea on a Facebook status in April 2011. From there it became a challenge and many ladies answered the call. The goal is simple: wear a dress or skirt every day in May.
