Seoul-Searching: Yummy...
http://kelsyn.blogspot.com/2008/12/yummy.html
Sunday, December 14, 2008. Just some.food for thought. Squid, drying on a clothes rack in our living room. Squid is a favorite snack of Koreans', usually dried or roasted and cut into strips for handy jerky-like chewing. Yummmm. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Seoul-Searching: Kristmas Karol Karma, Nobody (deserves this)

Thursday, December 18, 2008. Kristmas Karol Karma, Nobody (deserves this). Nobody, which debuted nearly a month ago, plays non-stop here. And just because I dont go into stores or listen to the radio doesn't mean I'm immune from the hysteria. EVERYBODY in this country knows all the words, and sings it constantly. The neighbor Father's ringtone is 'Nobody'. The kids at school sing it incessantly. My host siblings have it on repeat in the other room, way too loud, at 11pm. seriously. Nobody, nobody but you.

Monday, November 24, 2008. Monday, November 17, 2008. Sometimes, little things here make me really happy. Little things like my 6 year old host brother Eu Hyak. A couple days ago I read him a story book called "Mommy Hen is busy". Then yesterday morning, when he woke up, he walked around the house going "Mommy, where are you? Basically, this here's just a shout out to my favorite thing about Korea: Eu Hyak. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Monday, June 23, 2008. Getting back in the Game, Haneashamika*. With just under two weeks until I fly to Seoul and then bus? To Cheonchen*, South Korea I have been able to master exceptionally little of the language. Thanks to my master procrastination methods and mediocre free internet language downloads I can succesfully count from zero to sixty in Korean. I'm isipbi years old fools, haza! However, I have read that it is imperative I learn the heungul alphabet, and this I am sorely behind on.

Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Here's a fun pick from the other day at my house. Mmm chicken feet. No, I didn't have to eat it luckily. I'm sure they're away being pickled somewhere to be brought out at a later date. It's little stuff like this that make my day, and even the hellish third graders can't take that away from me. Monday, April 30, 2007. Sunday, April 22, 2007. Yesterday was the openign weekend of our footy season. The mugars have three teams, the premier, the reserves and the Northwest. I'm playing on the Northwest team (third tier, but still rockin'! After the game, we had sang a hearty rendition of the club song, took pictures and then went and watched the other two teams play and win their games. 3 wins for 3 teams, a great start for the Mugars! I'll be sure to post pictures when I get them.
