Drew felt it was better to spend time making sure every one of his simple, refreshing furniture designs gets his fullest attention. So this site has been parked until he has completed at least the first few pieces to his satisfaction. Not ours. That's how selfish he is. So we'll just have to wait until early 2008 to see what he has really been doing. Which may not be much. But then again, a few great pieces that challenge are better than a house full that don't. As we all know, the Ottoman empire was one of the greatest civilizations of the modern age, controlling large parts of Southwest Asia, North Africa and South Eastern Europe in the 14th to 20th centuries. And while it didn’t reach into the region now known as modern day Spain - much less Cabanillas del Campo, located in the province of Guadalajara - there is one phenomena that links the two. It’s known as the human ottoman (see photo).
