The adventures of the globe hopping twins. Monday, May 30, 2011. We started May with efforts to help surrounding areas affected by April's tornadoes. Our MOPS group assembled bedtime backpacks which were distributed to children in area emergency shelters. Each backpack contained a pair of pajamas, underwear, toothbrush, hairbrush, etc., a blanket, and a picture drawn by our children. Enjoying the monthly First Friday celebration in our quaint little town. Watching a baptism in the church garden. The othe...

The adventures of the globe hopping twins. Friday, April 1, 2011. This year the kid's birthday fell on Ash Wednesday. We spent the day before at a Fat Tuesday pancake dinner hosted by our MOPS group. I think we all had a great time making, decorating and eating pancakes, making crafts, and playing relay races. All the kids made and decorated mardi gras masks with help from their parents. Granddaddy let him take the helm. She just doesn't look angelic, does she? She looks like a schemer! Of course, this m...

The adventures of the globe hopping twins. Monday, July 18, 2011. San Destin, Florida. We were lucky enough to get to spend a few days with my mother and sister in San Destin, FL while my sister attended the Mississippi bar convention. We only went down for the last half of the week, but the kids had fun seeing the ocean and swimming. Such a goofy kid. Yes, it's a hard life, but someones got to live it. Sadly, it rained while we were at the beach. It rained A LOT. For 3 days. So, we spent a l...The follo...

We had record snowfalls for the state of Alabama, getting 11 in. of snow in one night! What a beautiful sight to wake up to. A true winter wonderland! Looking up our street. I think my crazy husband was the only driver on the roads. He just HAD to take the truck with 4 wheel drive out! A war eagle snow bird? Some bunny loves Daddy snow much! Snow much in love! We started the ...

Twins in Korea: February 2012
http://twinsinkorea.blogspot.com/2012/03/february-2012.html
The adventures of the globe hopping twins. Friday, March 2, 2012. We started off February with a trip to the dentist. Sterling's front teeth are damaged from a fall he had during a seizure 2 years ago. He fell directly onto the fireplace hearth while wearing his cranial helmet. Go figure, he landed on the one place not protected by his helmet, his mouth! On that note, oh-em-gee, look at that x-ray! My kid has some seriously big teeth coming in! While I think kids are so stinking cute when they loose thei...

The adventures of the globe hopping twins. Saturday, March 17, 2012. One of our most exciting stops along our route was in New Orleans. Following immediately on the heels of Mardi Gras, there were still beads everywhere. As soon as we got into the garden district, Ella asked me if there were monkeys in the trees hanging up beads. Every tree, fence, light post and street sign was covered in bead necklaces! To get to see these awesome ladies! It was the best little rest stop of our entire trip! We spent mo...
