Drew Photo Andrew

Saturday, December 10, 2016. There are two things I like about this photo. One, the exposure is low so the whole photo is very dark and shadowy: Ben's head and Leo's jacket are a various ominous shade of pitch black. I also chose the tallest male in the class and the shortest, which looks pretty cool together. His was fun because it has a normal human model next to a masked one. This was one of the only pictures I used that had an unmasked model, so it's pretty unique. I like this one because it's blurry...

Drew Photo Andrew: September 2016

http://drewphotoandrew.blogspot.com/2016_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, September 28, 2016. Friday, September 2, 2016. These photos demonstrate the photography trick of triangles as each one has frames cut into triangular shapes, with some photos being easily defined and some more loose. For example, the first picture does not have lines connecting the triangles, but rather contains three items that make up a triangle. The second, third and fourth pictures each contain more visible and blatant triangles. However each photo follows the rule. View my complete profile.

http://drewphotoandrew.blogspot.com/2016/11/fall-series-two.html

Monday, November 14, 2016. November 15, 2016 at 3:32 PM. I like how all the photos are black and white. November 16, 2016 at 10:41 AM. The black and white gives it an edgy vibe. November 16, 2016 at 12:17 PM. I like the varying poses in the different shots yet there is a consistency in the muted colors and of course the masks. November 17, 2016 at 7:49 PM. The first 2 are very interesting I like that they are in black and white. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Drew Photo Andrew: November 2016

http://drewphotoandrew.blogspot.com/2016_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 14, 2016. Friday, November 11, 2016. Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Symmetry, asymmetry and balance. Symmetry involves a photo that would have two equal sides if split in half. I found that this was the easiest subject to find, as many objects and patterns are equal/"mirrored" when split in half. I used garage doors, tires and patters in my photographs. Friday, November 18, 2016. November 19, 2016 at 7:05 PM. I really like your use of shadows in this batch of photos, it make the subjects even more interesting. November 20, 2016 at 10:05 AM. These photos are incredible and I believe that the black and white gives so much extra life to the photos. I believe that you should play with light and the shadows. November 20, 2016 at 4:52 PM. I thought that making the photos in black and white made them more authentic, which helped accomplish your artists goal.

Drew Photo Marley: Portfolio

http://drewphotomarley.blogspot.com/2016/12/portfolio.html

Monday, December 5, 2016. While putting together my portfolio, I looked selected images where human emotion was in it's rawest, purest form. These 8 photographs show the various emotions that people experience throughout the day: joy, sadness, worry, etc. Once I found models, I disappeared within the classroom; the wall that is put up while taking a photograph was removed, allowing me to capture unguarded persons. http://drewphotodeclan.blogspot.com/2017/01/for-this-series-i-wanted-to-take-photos.html

Wednesday, January 11, 2017. For this series I wanted to take photos that related to each other for example I took a photo of Marley's shoes and pants and then his shirt and when put in the same frames it made it look like his outfit . I did everything in black and white except the plants because i felt there was more detail without the black and white. January 17, 2017 at 7:42 AM. I like the black and white it unifies the pictures. January 17, 2017 at 8:06 AM. January 17, 2017 at 9:49 PM.

Wednesday, December 7, 2016. Artist Statement- This batch is of my best images from this series. I choose these photos because they closely resemble the work of Slinkachu because of the way they are interacting with the surronding images. The figurines also look like the fit in the image but are clearly not real people or animals. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Ben B. - Photography Blog: January 2017

http://drewphotobenb.blogspot.com/2017_01_01_archive.html

Ben B - Photography Blog. Friday, January 20, 2017. This unit was focused on memory layers. This was meant to encapsulate experiences, emotions, and thoughts through images that show a deeper meaning. I took photos from the neighborhood that had a gritty, worn feel to them, and gave vibrant colors for contrasting purposes. My goal when selecting and editing was to have a series photos that represent my identity through fashion, actions, and sights in my daily life. Friday, January 13, 2017.

Ben B - Photography Blog. Friday, January 13, 2017. B&W Multi Frame Collages. This project was focused on the multi frame. January 16, 2017 at 9:41 PM. I like how all of your photos look like an illusion, which is very similar to Tom Young so you did a nice job on that. I also like how you kept the color in some of the photos because it still looks mysterious and vintage but also makes the photos more interesting. January 17, 2017 at 7:46 AM. I like the vintage feel of it all its very nice.

Friday, November 11, 2016. Artist Statement: For this batch of photos I used the feedback from my classmates and teacher and shaded my sketches darker. I feel that I accomplished this and it made the overall photo much better. This was the main thing I was focusing on this batch in an effort to improve my photos. November 15, 2016 at 1:20 PM. I think you did a really good job at making the photos more creative by changing them in different ways. November 15, 2016 at 2:10 PM. November 15, 2016 at 2:11 PM.
