DrewPhotoBrian: Filters

http://drewphotobrian.blogspot.com/2016/12/filters.html

Friday, December 9, 2016. I inverted the colors and changed them to create this one. This one utilizes the mirror effect to create an abstracted animal. I also made the tint purple. I wanted to create a nostalgic faded feel with this one. I added a purple tint and used the pixelated effect for this photo. For this one I used "posterize" to give it a cartoonish or animated look. I used the "Warhol" setting to invert the colors to give the photo a more drawn feel. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

DrewPhotoBrian: March 2016

http://drewphotobrian.blogspot.com/2016_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 18, 2016. These images represent the best of my series of emulating Nathan Lyons. They are the best because they capture the essence of what I was going for, which were interesting urban scenes that when taken out of context present something about human expression. These include advertisements, and things human created. These also contain my strongest compositions. Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Monday, March 7, 2016. Wednesday, March 2, 2016. DrewPhotoBrian: January 2016

http://drewphotobrian.blogspot.com/2016_01_01_archive.html

Friday, January 29, 2016. This series is comprised of composite photos, or 'multi-frame'. I edited photos together in a collage to create a cohesive whole. Some are repeated images while others are different but fit together to make one picture. Andy Warhol was an inspiration as well as Ray Metzker and Robert Flick. While some are more cohesive than others, I feel like I succeeded in creating multi-frame photos. Wednesday, January 20, 2016. Wednesday, January 13, 2016. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

DrewPhotoBrian: Final Portfolio

http://drewphotobrian.blogspot.com/2016/12/final-portfolio.html

Monday, December 5, 2016. These are the culmination of the fall series. My recipe is this: using the urban setting to find abstract composition, black and white and adjusting the levels to create an atmospheric aesthetic. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). DrewPhotoBrian: October 2015

http://drewphotobrian.blogspot.com/2015_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 30, 2015. Ray Metzker Fall Series 1. This series of photos emulate the style of Ray Metzker which include abstract lines and shadows. I had to shoot when it was sunny out to get clear shadows. Metzker had elements of noir and gritty urban scenes. While hard to accomplish these in Pacific Heights, I kept these in mind while shooting. Mainly I focused on shadows and silhouettes. Wednesday, October 7, 2015. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://drewphotonina.blogspot.com/2015/09/arrangement-of-lines-lines-leading-to.html

Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Lines Leading To The Object. The three concepts shown here are arrangement of lines, lines that lead to the subject, and decorative lines. When showing an arrangement of lines, the lines should be arranged in a unique way. In lines leading to the subject, there should be either lines or another object/objects which draw your eyes to the main image. When showing an image with decorative lines, the main object should have decorative designs on it. September 18, 2015 at 9:08 AM.

Ana's Pictures : Color Grids Draft 1

http://drewphotosana.blogspot.com/2015/05/color-grids-draft-1.html

Friday, May 15, 2015. Color Grids Draft 1. This week and last week I have been experimenting with color grids. I search for specific colors in the environment and put them into a 3x3 grid with pictures of similar hues. This is my blue color grid. I am trying to improve it at the moment because I am not. A fan of the two bottom right pictures. This is my green color grid. I like it because of how much of it is nature, and. Made from nature. :). A much cleaner look. Friday, December 12, 2014. Independent Project 2- Color Effects. I like this picture because it was originally from another project,. But the fuchsia of the flowers is a bright contrast to the black and white. I like this picture because the mountain is actually brown,. But using effects of color, I made it appear black and white. I like this picture because the door is extremely colorful, and. The subject is in black and white. It is an interesting contrast. It almost feels strangely warm. The element o...

Friday, September 25, 2015. In this section of the assignment, I tried to take images that looked almost identical on either side of the image. The hardest part of this assignment was lighting because even if I could get the camera in the middle of the symmetrical surface, the lighting was not always perfect. Friday, September 18, 2015. Drew Photo Sam: First Half of Class Portraits

http://drewphotosam4.blogspot.com/2016/04/this-is-example-of-bellas-black-and.html

Wednesday, April 20, 2016. First Half of Class Portraits. This is an example of Bella's Black and white textures set of pictures. She used editing to make the blacks blacker, and the lights lighter. In this portrait of Bella I did the same. As you can see her hair is a very dark texture which pairs nicely with the boosted light shed on her face. I think the picture came out and it clearly looks a bit funny. At first I was going to redo the portrait, but after a short reflection I realized it was kind...

Thursday, January 27, 2011. Hey Thanks for doing this. I need to get rid of 4 photos. So I would ideally like to know which 5 to take out. I was also told in a portfolio review to pick photos that were more than just "nature is pretty" so if you could keep that in mind too that would be awesome. Thanks. They ask what medium it is. Do I just say 'Digital' or is it something else? Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Keliy Anderson-Staley and Alejandro Cartagena Inspired. Monday, May 17, 2010. Friday, May 14, 2010.

Wednesday, January 11, 2017. When I began this project, I planned to make all of the multi-frame images in black and white. This would draw more attention to the textures in the photos. Then, I noticed that some photos looked really good together because of the mutual textures AND color. So I ended up leaving a few images in color. In some one these images, I tried to create a narrative by pairing characters with photographs. Monday, December 5, 2016. Sunday, December 4, 2016. For this series I truly emb...

Thursday, May 28, 2015. For this last set, I focused on doing either a flow with the flowers in the picture, or using rule of thirds to make the flower stand out and be the center of the photo. Monday, May 18, 2015. Friday, May 8, 2015. In this set, I tried to take different photos of pink flowers. I did a spectrum of different color pinks, but all of the flowers are only pink.
