Cookie Fame Monster: Angeletti Cookies
http://cookiefamemonster.blogspot.com/2010/12/angeletti-cookies.html
Peace, Love, ॐ, Cookies. Sunday, December 26, 2010. A tried and true favorite. I have been making these since Middle School, and they have yet to disappoint. This year, I found these pretty decors in Broadway Panhandler (8th between Broadway and University) and was inspired to dye the glaze pink (one drop of red food coloring in the glaze) to match and to make the cookies more festive. 189; cup (1 stick) melted butter. 190; cup granulated sugar. 188; cup whole milk. 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract. When co...

Cookie Fame Monster: WHY I HATE MERINGUE, AND ALWAYS WILL: Mini Peppermint-Meringue Cups with Ganache
http://cookiefamemonster.blogspot.com/2010/12/why-i-hate-meringue-and-always-will.html
Peace, Love, ॐ, Cookies. Sunday, December 26, 2010. WHY I HATE MERINGUE, AND ALWAYS WILL: Mini Peppermint-Meringue Cups with Ganache. Aww, so pretty and sweet. How can such an adorable cookie actually be PURE EVIL? So, this recipe is very complex. Good - I wanted a challenge. That was exactly the point of my very complex Holiday Cookie Line-Up 2010. The first part of the recipe, the egg whites and the sugar, need to be constantly stirred over the simmering water. Constantly? First of all, filling the pas...

Cookie Fame Monster: Mexican Hot-Chocolate Cookies
http://cookiefamemonster.blogspot.com/2010/12/mexican-hot-chocolate-cookies.html
Peace, Love, ॐ, Cookies. Sunday, December 26, 2010. I got this recipe from Martha Stewart's holiday cookie book. I was immediately excited to try these, because, lately, I have been really into chile-infused chocolate. it's just. It's dark, rich, silky, and just has this incredible heat to it. I had hoped that these would be the cookie incarnation of that sexiness. NOTHING. They remind me of being 13 years old, awkward, in Home Economics. Plus, their name is quite silly. 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour. Circu...

Cookie Fame Monster: December 2010
http://cookiefamemonster.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Peace, Love, ॐ, Cookies. Sunday, December 26, 2010. I was so curious about macarons. Not only are they so trendy right now (the next cupcake! So interesting. With their perfectly round little domed tops and bottoms and their thin, bubbly layer where the cookie comes in contact with the baking sheet. not to mention their luscious filling! I am so intrigued by them! They also kind of look like little mini-burgers (Trolli Gummi Burgers? And everyone who tried them loved them. They had an interesting con...

Only Okay: First Day at Uni
http://onlyokay.blogspot.com/2011/02/first-day-at-uni.html
Sunday, February 20, 2011. First Day at Uni. Apparently not, so then wtf am I paying for really? Find me a tour guide who can explain THAT to me. And then maybe I'll stop complaining about uni. Maybe. Shit, guys. All I need to do is sign the enclosed form and post it to them. (It says 'read the form, sign it and post it to us'; apparently actually thinking about anything it says in it is not so important). erm. Dear Insurance Line, how the fuck did you get my name and address? February 21, 2011 at 2:01 AM.

Salt&Spatula: White Peach Ginger Milkshake
http://www.saltandspatula.com/2010/09/white-peach-ginger-milkshake.html
Monday, September 13, 2010. White Peach Ginger Milkshake. Anyways, I am staying at Nick's house. Which has been named Breakfast. It's the new hangout house. It was a little warmer today and we need something refreshing and cooling. We created a drink inspired by our favorite wintertime tea: ginger and peach. Since summer is almost gone, why not celebrate the last of the white peach harvest with a creamy refreshing drink? 5-6 large scoops of vanilla ice cream. 15 inch piece of ginger, peeled and sliced.

Dr Aust’s Spleen. A grumpy scientist writes. Laquo; Stress, fighter pilots and medical students. Podcast plug – Dr Aust live (ish). It’s three years of Spleen – anyone still out there? In which Dr Aust is vaguely astonished he has kept going this long – and asks readers if they’d like to tell him who is (still) reading. Amazingly, it is exactly three years today since Dr Aust’s Spleen went live. And three years and a day since the first major post, titled. Thanks for Commenting. Really. There have also b...

Cookie Fame Monster: Chocolate Guinness Cupcakes
http://cookiefamemonster.blogspot.com/2011/03/chocolate-guinness-cupcakes.html
Peace, Love, ॐ, Cookies. Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Mmm, just in time for St. Patrick's Day: chocolate cupcakes made with GUINNESS. I opted to use this recipe from another blog. Because it offered an alternative to the Bailey's buttercream icing that many other recipes are using as their cupcake topping. I thought the Bailey's would be overkill, and would take away from the subtle Guinness flavoring of the chocolate cupcake. Live and learn. At least they still look adorable. Irish History for Dummies.
