Ultrasound | Family Practice Vancouver

December 15, 2009 at 5:37 pm. Ultrasound is another radiation free way of visualizing disease. In most hospitals the ultrasound scan is performed by a technologist. The scan is then read later by a Radiologist. The problem with this protocol is that you as the patient have no idea what the scan is showing, until it is reported. If you ask the technician doing the scan, they will be reluctant to communicate any finding with you for fear of giving you misleading information. Tags: Ultrasound/ 3D Ultrasound.

We know the evidence needs more research and proof however I am convinced that we are doing a good thing. Choice and empowerment for the MS patient is important. We are happy to provide this choice.
