The Homegrown Nomad: What I'm Reading
http://kellisnovel.blogspot.com/p/books-i-read.html
30 Day Writing Challenge. For some reason, I thought I had read a lot of Alice Hoffman, but I haven't. I've only read one other book by her- 'Local Girls' and I'm afraid to say I don't remember what it was about at all. I actually only remembered that I read it because I remembered the cover. But this book, this book I will remember. I'll let you know how it turns out, if I love the end as much as I love the beginning. Sometimes I can, but not about my two old ladies in Rufford Park. The Homegrown Nomad: Dave's Totally Outnumbered
http://kellisnovel.blogspot.com/2012/10/daves-totally-outnumbered.html
30 Day Writing Challenge. Saturday, October 20, 2012. It is nothing but estrogen in our house- poor husband of mine! We don't even have a boy dog. and he's handling the whole thing marvelously. Last night, we were watching "Hall Pass" and Owen Wilson's daughter was putting ponytails and ribbons in his hair while he read her a bedtime story. I looked over at Dave, holding our new little Sprout and said, "That's you in a couple of years, times two! And bless him, he smiled and said, "I know.". We had an ap...

My Life and Musings. Aka What's Going on with Me and Other Random Crap. Monday, September 29, 2014. This post is for the September expat blog challenge. It's still September. I haven't run out of time. Our prompt is: "Only in .". We're supposed to take a store from the news or current events in our country and explain why it makes me say, "Only in (x country) .". My Life and Musings. Aka What's Going on with Me and Other Random Crap. Saturday, May 24, 2014. A Few of My Favorite Things. A long time ago . In a land quite close to me . We were given the monthly prompt for our blog. Needless to say, I'm a bit tardy. I apologize, C. in Oz. I wish I could say it wouldn't happen again, but I tend to procrastinate. Also, I was suffering a bit from the "don't wants.". Right now I'm loving pork and prawn dumplings. And roti with beef curry. And pepperoni pizza. I'm finding...

In a couple of weeks we are going to Kangaroo Valley. For a long weekend. It's only a couple of hours from Sydney and it looks gorgeous! We are staying at Cedar Cottages. In their Yurt. Hopefully we will get plenty of opportunities to commune with the local wildlife. There are miles of trails to walk. Can't wait! So that's what we have so far.

My Life and Musings: Day 16: Interpretation of a Quote
http://yvetterene.blogspot.com/2014/02/day-16-interpretation-of-quote.html
My Life and Musings. Aka What's Going on with Me and Other Random Crap. Sunday, February 16, 2014. Day 16: Interpretation of a Quote. It's Sunday. That means yet another interpretation of a quote selected by C. in Oz of In an Opal Hearted Country. It is a bitter-sweet thing, knowing two cultures. Once you leave your birthplace nothing is ever the same.". And All Good Things: From Paris to Tahiti: Life and Longing. Sydney's "culture" is really an amalgamation of so many vastly unique cultures. There a...

My Life and Musings. Aka What's Going on with Me and Other Random Crap. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. A Day in My Life in Photos. I can't even remember the last time I had a blog post. That's pretty pathetic considering how much I used to enjoy writing about things going on in my life in Sydney. But now Mr. Smith and I have been back in the good ole USA for about a month. Today is the first day I even have a place to sit down because the furniture we ordered a month ago was delivered today. Kitchen - we are p...
