Monday, April 30, 2012. The man next to Jonathan is the twins' maternal grandfather and the one next to him is Pastor Abel, who worked very hard to help the twins be adopted. We are so grateful to both of them! We're overjoyed and completely exhausted. This is Mama Faith, the ministry director. And then began the drive back. Lots and lots and lots of snacking and napping. Saturday, August 11, 2012. 2 Years of Rory! We've finally arrived. I've chronicled Rory's growth for the last 24 months and she officially turned 2 on Thursday. She's lost a lot of her stranger anxiety, but definitely wasn't pleased with a room full of people singing Happy Birthday to her either. She's all giggles and smiles at home with family, but comes across as serious to people who aren't immediate family. This month, Rory has especially enjoyed:. Dancing (though that's nothing new). Awww, I love it!

Tuesday, February 28, 2012. In Uganda: Daddy's Highlights So Far. Please be in prayer for our meeting with the judge in court tomorrow! We’ll write more detailed posts about what’s going with everything, but since so much has been happening and we’ve now had custody of the girls for two days, I just wanted to list my highlights so far (before I forget)…. For our first night together, we tried out a “family bed”, mainly because it was our only option. Those kids are floppy sleepers! Do you want to poop?

Which is supposed to be an day when soldiers observe cease-fires, people of faith pray for peace, and the ideal of peace is held up for the world to see. As a seminarian, this holiday has me thinking a lot about themes of peace in relation to worship, and the difficulty we have integrating the two.
