A time to dig out all those long ignored sleeveless tops, open-toed sandals, take long walks and soak in the warmth. I’d like to make the learning goals for this class a part of this routine. Or maybe a game or two? And if and when possible change the classroom setting to move outdoors? Read Full Post ». When my f...

The Mad Hatter: June 2009

Fragments of fiction. Pleae, please leave comments. Feedback would be much appreciated. Sunday, June 14, 2009. Of Mothers and Names. To the best of his knowledge, he didn't have one, he informed the little girl with pigtails at the park. The little girl had tossed her pigtails proudly, and had informed him that her brand-new spectacles were on account of her weak eyesight. She told him this, as if it was an honor conferred upon her for some outstanding, meritorious deed. How could that be? Weellll, she h...

Fragments of fiction. Pleae, please leave comments. Feedback would be much appreciated. Monday, February 16, 2009. Free writing: You run. I will lose sight of you one day. Already, pain shoots through my ankles, and a hand seems to grab hold of my heart. Sweat pours down my forehead, my breath grows short. I can not run forever, I can not keep up with you. You never look back. Do you know that I am following you? If we stopped to talk, if you heeded my cries, what would we talk about? How can you find me?

Diamonds and Rust: April 2009
http://lostlittlegirrl.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 22. Indian elections: Be friends with terrorists = Get votes. I'm amazed by the Tamilian ego. More than that, the way everyone ignores all that is happening in the name of national integrity and protection of 'suffering' communities is nothing short of ridiculous. How would anyone in the right mind think that Tamilians in Sri Lanka ought to be protected in the current scenario? Sunday, April 19. How Dilli is only Khan Market. And then sods express shock over my disinterest in the whole c...

Monday, May 12. Cheese is healthy if carbs are low. Er Why is everyone on this insane health trip? It disgusts me. This friend of mine wants to be a model so he's given up wheat completely for the next 2 months! Also this whole thing of how I'll regret it. What exactly will I regret? Maybe I would think differently if my body required me to work out? I know if I get fat, it'll send me on a religious trip to the gym. Still, I'm never going to a gym. Only after I'm 30. My discovery for today is that cheese...

Fragments of fiction. Pleae, please leave comments. Feedback would be much appreciated. Sunday, July 26, 2009. Not so sure if this story really works. But here it is anyway. Comments much appreciated. But it is not this that I wish you to see. Look - here, this is the spot. Right under that dessicated stump of a tree, that looks like an ogre's fist, branch-like fingers rising from the earth. Bend with me, here. Kneel. Thrust your fingers into this dark barren ground, and dig. And the time is now. Careful...

The Mad Hatter: The Monster
http://the-mad-hatter.blogspot.com/2009/07/monster.html
Fragments of fiction. Pleae, please leave comments. Feedback would be much appreciated. Sunday, July 5, 2009. There used to be a monster under my bed. He was made up of pieces of nightmares, dreams and parts of old toys. He was a strange and special creature, his veins were filled with magic, not blood. I know what you're thinking," he whispered to me one night, as I lay in my bed, warm under my thick comforter. I was curious now. "Why can't you come out? Do you have a cold? Thank you for closing the win...
