The process of getting a PCV license has changed to include the Initial CPC tests since September 2008. This test versus the Periodic Training is still causing a lot of confusion among existing drivers. Many still think that they will be required to take the test in order to keep their driver's license as a professional coach or bus driver. There is still a lot of confusion between the Periodic Training for all professional drivers, and the Initial CPC test taken by new drivers. Bus and coach drivers who already had their licence before September 2008 escaped having to take the Initial CPC test, but they won’t receive their Driver’s Qualification Card.
