Motorways need not be a scary place. Keep to a few sensible rules and keep your wits about you and you will have nothing to worry about. 8211; joining a motorway is generally done via a slip road. Use the time on the slip road to judge and adjust your speed to fit that of the motorway you are joining. If the flow is steady then its safe to say you need to pick up speed on the slip road to join the traffic safely. Joining slowly (unless the traffic is slow) is a very dangerous practice.

This is the length of time I recommend. I can teach you as much in 90 minutes as I can in two by one hour lessons, because you are out practising for longer with less time spent on pick up and drop off. Therefore in the long run you are saving money. Also 90 minutes is a good length span for concentration. What is the difference between the two? Manual cars have a clutch – brake and accelerator. The driver changes the gears using the clutch pedal and gear stick. When you increase (or decrease) speed the clutch pedal must be pressed to change the gears higher or lower. In an automatic you only have brake and accelerator pedals. The car changes gear for you once you engage the automatic gear stick into ‘Drive’ no matter if you are speeding up or slowing down. I only train using a manual car.
