Musings from a Follower of Jesus. Saturday, July 3, 2010. June 30th Israel Travel and Impression Report. We left the En Gev resort area on the Eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee this morning. It was already beginning to get hot. Yesterday it was 106 degree at the resort area. I was really looking forward to getting back to Jerusalem up in the Hills of Judah. Musings from a Follower of Jesus. Friday, June 25, 2010. June 23 Travel and thoughts. Our last stop was the ancient ruins of the Nebataean settlement Avdat. This was built by the same group of people that are responsible for Petra. This people group converted to Christ and tore down their temples and built Christian Churches. Outside of the city walls is a second or third century Romans ruins of what used to be an established entity. Picture 1 - city ruins. Picture 2 - Beersheba of OT times.
