The Libertarian Party of Alachua County has accomplished some notable things in the past. In 2004 we hosted a convention which brought together Libertarians from all over Florida and the nation. We have run several campaigns for local office. We have brought in many speakers to address community members and college students alike.

Anyway, my whole reason for this is that I want to post a link to my favorite Vonnegut short story, Harrison Bergeron. A horrifying look at a society that has become obsessed with equality.
