What type of therapy do you provide? Do I have to talk about the past? I don't see any point in bringing up bad memories. How long can I expect to be in therapy? Does Therapy Really Work? More than sixty years of outcome research on the effectiveness of therapy leaves little doubt that therapy is effective. Overall, studies that summarize much of the reliable research (called a meta-analysis) show 70-80% of treated patients were better off than untreated patients at the end of six months of therapy.
