Prineville, Oregon. Someday. Tuesday, July 10, 2012. So we lost my Dad on June 19th 2012. His dementia had gotten to the point that we could not care for him here at home anymore. He got pneumonia in both lungs, followed by a bladder infection. He was 87 years old and could simply not fight to recover. I miss you Daddy, not the person that was sick and frustrated, the person that I grew up with that was my Dad! Prineville, Oregon. Someday. Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Update for July 2013 (So Far! Well, it is like trying to plan a wedding.there are people involved that you can't control, and it gets frustrating! What am I referring to? The architect that is supposed to be drawing up our house plans! We submitted our drawings and went over the specs in person with him around the 10th of April, yes, that's right, APRIL AND WE ARE STILL WAITING! Home weather permitting on his weekends. He plans to do that for at ...

http://overcashhappenings.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Prineville, Oregon. Someday. Wednesday, October 14, 2009. So, life right now seems like more of a grind than an adventure! Work hours suck, too many hours, and too many closing shifts! I sit here, it is 12:38am in the morning. I should be in bed, but am still trying to wind down. No days off with Duane this week, he's off Tues, Wed and Thurs, I am off Mon and Fri, go figure. Next week is better, we have Thurs off together! I think I may have found a secret weapon, vaseline! Thursday, October 1, 2009.

Duane and Nancy: It's November already?
http://overcashhappenings.blogspot.com/2010/11/its-november-already.html
Prineville, Oregon. Someday. Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Wow Another year almost over. Time waits for no one! These past 3 months or so have been a blur of ups and downs, such is life. The days are so short, I am looking forward to Spring already so they can get long again, daylight is so much more inspiring! Dad is slowing down more all of the time, his memory, especially short term is really slipping, and I am his "Mommy" more now than ever! I am spending more time on Facebook than I probably should,...

Duane and Nancy: November 2009
http://overcashhappenings.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Prineville, Oregon. Someday. Sunday, November 22, 2009. Pancakes, Chili and Cornbread! Yesterday was cleaning house and changing oil in the car day, today it is cooking! I got an easy chili recipe from a gal at work, she got it on the Food Network. Also, baking cornbread as I write. I made Duane pancakes for breakfast, I used a new pan and they didn't get done enough. Taking note not to use that pan for that again! Oh well, the worst that could happen already has, so maybe it will be okay, right? Oh well...

Duane and Nancy: A new year!!
http://overcashhappenings.blogspot.com/2011/03/new-year.html
Prineville, Oregon. Someday. Monday, March 14, 2011. Geez, I was so into this blog thing before Facebook took over, I have to admit that having a much larger audience is more interesting and fun! I must make a habit of dropping in here at least once a month! I hope I remember how to get here once this computer dies, which may be very soon! Having the page bookmarked makes it so easy to get to, and all operating systems are so different! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Jamie, Galen and Kaylee.
