Saturday, April 24, 2010. Posted by Ray Bridges. I enjoyed reading through your comments and blogs. It would be my understanding that were more than likely related. My last name is Clark (the Clarks from Singer, LA). But my grandmother was an Ashworth. daughter of Charlie W. Ashworth who was the son of Amos Owen Ashworth. Im not sure where our connection would be on the family tree, but Im certain there is one. I glad to find this blog. Ive been research my mothers family line. I would love to know more.

My Mother's People: Some Thoughts from George Carlin
http://ashworths.blogspot.com/2013/04/some-thoughts-from-george-carlin.html
Wednesday, April 03, 2013. Some Thoughts from George Carlin. SOMETHING TO PONDER: George Carlin. George Carlin's wife died early in 2008 and George followed her, dying in July 2008. It is ironic George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent and so very appropriate. An observation by George Carlin:. The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower v . We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the sou...

Tuesday, April 21, 2009. We buried Terry on Friday, April 17. I did let the rain "wash" the sadness brought on by Terry's sudden death, at least as much as I could. I wanted to speak to Terry's family about his greatness. Sure, they know he's great, but did they appreciate the impact he had on hundreds of people close and far away? I wanted to thank him for so many gifts to his cousins, near and far. I did tell his widow that I wanted to speak, but the opportunity didn't happen. And carrying it over to t...

Monday, October 08, 2007. Nature or Nurture: What makes a Redbone. The nurture vs. nature debate is one the online Redbone. Identified community dealt with ten years ago, at length. After vigorous research and debate, most of us concluded that there really isn't a cultural difference between people who might be called Redbones. And their neighbors. There is no line separating the two. This conclusion was met with stiff resistance by several writers in the Starks- DeQuincy. Who are not Redbones. Do not id...

Thursday, July 26, 2007. When I was home at Memorial Day, several cousins brought all of their photographs over for me to scan. I haven't had time to go through and identify everyone yet, but I will over the next week or so. Here's the link for them to be viewed as a slideshow: Bearhead Creek Redbones. This one of Lizbet Miller and a couple of grandsons working is one of my favorites. Not bad for just imagining it, eh? Go look at the whole bunch. Posted by Ray Bridges. Links to this post.
