My HOME: living with color. Last summer around this time we had a photo shoot at our house (we have since moved. so this is no longer our house - kinda strange seeing these images featured now! A big thank you to Harris Publications, Small Room Decorating and the fabulous Gridley Graves photographers! We are in the process of renovating and decorating our new home and studio - and 1896 farmhouse - so hopefully there will be another feature soon! BUILDING AN ADIRONDACK CASTLE. Tuesday, August 30, 2011. So here is a picture I should have taken last week with all the roof frames in place. You'll see there is a rope railing around the roof. The concrete men were here and put that in place in preparation for the concrete pour this week. Ruby got a new Pogo stick for her birthday and now has a new castle activity. Tuesday, December 7, 2010. It's the most wonderful time - yep it is! There's too much to do though, and as usual, not enough time. It's these times that make me miss our awesome German Christmas Markets. The cold weather, the soft lights, the smell of pine boughs all over the wooden huts, the scents of hot chocolate and gluhwein (hot wine), bratwursts, kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes), and all the crowds of people. And no such thing as Black Friday. Just seemed like a simpler way to enjoy Christmas.
