Thursday, December 2, 2010. I saw a tree by the sky. Touched with winter's blush. Standing straight and tall. The cold crippled autumn's flush. Its wings were tipped with winter's coat. A bright white mantle of shimmering snow. Upon its branches, bare and dead. Twigs in the wind, waiting to blow. Glimmering, glowing, gossamer in the wind. If petals it had, the breeze would lift. We got it cut out, mostly sewed, and I realized that I had pinned/sewed the casing for the elastic on the wrong side of the skirt!
