Thoughts about God, life, marriage, ministry. Friday, October 22, 2010. Well, it's been a few weeks since I last posted. Let's do a recap. I preached two services on evangelism, saw Alabama lose to South Carolina, had an awesome student messy game night and now I am recuperating from the madness. I think I finally got all of the shaving cream out of my ear. Ah, the joys of being a student pastor. So, what to do? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Books I am currently reading. Grace of God: Andy Stanley. CJ Maha...

thinking outloud: Increased Enthusiasm
http://aaronsblogyea.blogspot.com/2010/12/increased-enthusiasm.html
Thoughts about God, life, marriage, ministry. Tuesday, December 14, 2010. We have all been called to build something with our lives. Some times we think that building our future, our homes, our marriages, our 401k, etc. is the important things in life. Don't get me wrong, I don't think that building these things are bad but I think that if these are our main priorities in life, where does God fit in the equation? Sometimes this keeps me up at night because I want to see students lives changed and mentall...

Thoughts about God, life, marriage, ministry. Friday, October 8, 2010. So, to inform you of something you may not think that pastors think about is the fact that sometimes we do want to see people in the seats of our churches. There I said it. It is discouraging sometimes because you wonder what is going on? Am I not saying the right things, doing the right games, playing the right videos? While these things can be important to drawing people and entertaining them, do they really matter? You know I heard...

Desiring to Bless Another: January 2011
http://desiringtoblessanother.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Desiring to Bless Another. Monday, January 24, 2011. Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day got me thinking about legacies. What a legacy he left behind! He has given us Wake Forest as our place of ministry for the last 2 and ½ years. Have I let His holy spirit guide me or have I let my own selfish desires? We desire to leave a legacy centered on Christ for our children. What an awesome responsibility He has entrusted us with! Monday, January 10, 2011. Well, we have some exciting news. We have also figur...

Thoughts about God, life, marriage, ministry. Monday, September 20, 2010. Hopefully this hurts you more than it hurts me. So, I love my job. I mean I get to spend time with some awesome students, play video games, go on trips and act like a 15 year old some times. But, something really has gotten my attention. This post may not be one that you want to read but it needs to be read. So, please keep your daggers and swords at ease for now. My heart is troubled. Why? I think that it starts with adults, not k...

To celebrate we went to the Melting Pot Restaurant this was another first for the both of us. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend it for a special occasion (It's pricey). We took some pictures. Look how excited we look. Our first course: cheddar cheese fondu and lots of yummy things to dip.

Desiring to Bless Another: June 2011
http://desiringtoblessanother.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Desiring to Bless Another. Thursday, June 30, 2011. God has been constantly teaching me to let go of control. I like to have things planned out, organized, and in order. I like to blame it on being a girl, but really it is my selfish sinful self coming out. God has been trying to refine me. After all, He is really in control not me. Praise the Lord! We have had some quick changes take place.good but quick. So we have been trying to find out how to get to Murfreesboro to start this church.
