The de Gaston Family. Dave, Melanie, Jonathan, Matthew, Rachel, Hannah, Lizzie, Sarah and Joshua. Sunday, October 11, 2009. It's nice that Rachel is already learning to write complete sentences in the beginning of 1st grade, instead of waiting until 3rd like Matthew. She has to write dictated sentences almost daily, remembering the capital letters and punctuation. She's doing really well with it. She is reading better every day, and catches on quickly to all her phonics and language lessons.

Some of you may have heard about the fires in Oklahoma on Thursday, April 9 th. So, this happened in our ward boundaries. There were actually two different wild fires in our ward boundaries. 35-40 houses were destroyed in these fires, and nobody in our ward lost their homes. Even though some of their neighbors did.
