Our intellect, experience and desires can all play a role in faithful Christian stewardship and service, but we dare not loose sight of the fact that God’s call to obedience trumps all of these. David B. Rueter's Blog. Reflections and insights along the way. Friday, March 23, 2007. Whate're the Gift May Be. Stewardship of the Gospel in View of Acts 18:24-28. We Lutherans like to be right. Being right is a good thing—unless fear of being wrong paralyzes us into inaction. Should the man we call to the office of pastor be qualified, trained, experienced and wise? Scripture, the confessions, and noted Lutheran theologians would answer no to all of these questions. Unfortunately the damage caused by ...

David B. Rueter's Blog. Reflections and insights along the way. Monday, August 14, 2006. King David was "a man after God's own heart". In 2 Samuel 18 we see a glimpse into that heart. David's reign as king was clearly of God- God chose him out of obscurity, gave him his kingship, gave him success against his enemies and affirmed his leadership. David had to take action for the sake of the kingdom and to follow God's will. So what is God's heart like? Yet despite our treasonous plans against God, God love...

http://www.drueter.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html

David B. Rueter's Blog. Reflections and insights along the way. Sunday, April 22, 2007. Insights from Genesis 2:1. Have you ever felt confused by the Third Commandment, "Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy"? Is this a law for us to keep? Do we keep this commandment by attending church on Sunday (instead of Saturday)? What does it mean to remember the Sabbath? Why is this even important to God? And then, to add to the confusion, Jesus comes along in several stories. Like Luke 6:6 and other places).

Things I want to Remember: Thanksgiving Traditions

http://stamperwr.blogspot.com/2007/11/thanksgiving-traditions.html

Things I want to Remember. Saturday, November 17, 2007. This is one tradition that Katie asks for every year. Before she was born I was a preschool teacher. One of my moms brought in these cute turkeys. I started making them with Katie when she was old enough. And we make them every year. She is looking forward to making them up at Big Bear this year. Things I want to Remember: September 2006

http://stamperwr.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html

Things I want to Remember. Saturday, September 30, 2006. The following is an excerpt from a review on the Gourmet Detective's website:. When Desiree Augratin, one of the fictious actors in the play, looked our way she said, "Katie? Why Katie Hepburn. I'm so glad to have your here." and she walked right over to our Katie. So all night Katie was Katie Hepburn. The funny thing is that our Katie doesn't even know who Katharine Hepburn was. Guess we'll have to Netflix one of her movies.

Gastposts von Leni Sonnenbogen. Samstag, 15. Juli 2017.
