Out of Rehab and into Sober Life. May 28, 2015. June 1, 2015. After 5 weeks of rehab, I’m back in the real world. Friday, an overwhelming fear came over me. What if I fail? I’m one week sober, and I’m heading to a movie, with a friend who is also not drinking for health reasons. It feels great to head outside in the crisp, fall air, to go out without the stress of being around alcohol. It feels like freedom.
