Well in between spring break and working on the meadow last weekend, I did manage to eke out a fishing trip, yay. Snuck up to the Ark when no one was looking, at the end of April when the caddis should have been winding down. Not this year tho, looks like I landed right into the thick of it, schweet. Huh Duuude, that's not right, what gives? Bumpkis. Huh, that don't sound right.

Blue grama, buffalo, Indian ricegrass, wheatgrass, sheep fescue, little bluestem, et al. Threw down some meadow wildflowers for good measure. Just fired up zone número dos on the irrigation controller. Nothin to do now but just sit back, sip a cervesa, and wait for the show. And you know what? I'm just a bit tired. ;-).

Flies, Fins, Feathers, and Freedom. Saturday, July 12, 2014. This morning Cheryl told me that the C-ster has been wanting to go fishing with me. She asked if I thought I could find a few fish close to home in a place the whole family could go. I had an idea, but I had no clue if it would work out. It turns out that it worked out great! The C-ster and I with my biggest Yakima River smallie yet! Cheryl got to fish quite a bit and did well, but our pictures of her didn't turn out too great. Back to the Bayou.
