The Oregon (J) Hall's: August 2012
http://theoregonjhalls.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 30, 2012. This year we managed 2 trips to the dunes. Last month was in Coos Bay for a little sand camping. It was our first opportunity to take our new 4x4 truck out on the sand. And once we got the tires aired down adequately - she performed perfectly! We still tent camp but had a reprieve when we discovered we had forgotten our tent poles. Don't ask. So our good friends Doug and Tina offered to share their trailer. Wait. I said we "forgot" our poles, right? Camp ground - - with SHOWERS!

Monday, May 2, 2011. Aloha from Kimo and Kalina! As many of you may remember, Jaime (Kimo) and I (Kalina) had plans to spend our 25. Anniversary (April 2010) in Hawaii, but had to postpone our trip due to Jaime's illness. Well, what a difference a year makes! So, on Saturday the 23. Day 1 in Paradise:. Our first day dawned beautiful and sunny here in Oregon. We couldn't have asked for a better send off! Day 2 in Paradise. Then, to pick up the mood, we headed to the North Shore for our surfing lesson!

The Oregon (J) Hall's: June 2009
http://theoregonjhalls.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 14, 2009. We had our beloved Annie for about 17 yrs. Thursday, June 11, 2009. So, we've been helping kayleigh move stuff to her storage unit this week - in preparation for her move to Idaho. She was complaining because when she moved *into* this apartment, Chris was in Idaho, and unable to participate. So, she said next time they move, she's opting out - Chris can do it all. Monday, June 8, 2009. As for Kayleigh, she's moving the last of the boxes out of her apartment tomorrow. She'll be...

Monday, May 17, 2010. Last week, I suddenly found myself pulling kitty midwife duty. I came home at lunch and discovered our kitty was in labor. She kept meowing rather loudly at me trying to get me to follow her. Once I did, I discovered she wanted to have her kittens in the clothes hamper. So I was forced to put her birthing box on top of the hamper, and it took some time to convince her it was better than the hamper. I was somewhat shocked to discover we had a total of 4 on the way. The best part was ...

The Oregon (J) Hall's: May 2013

Thursday, May 30, 2013. We took our first camping trip this year. And it was something new for us. Our good "duning" friends, Doug and Tina, invited us to eastern Oregon to the Morrow County OHV park. And, they were gracious enough to share their palace with us! So no tent camping for this trip. :-). It was a 4 day weekend that started with a few bumps. On the way to the camp, one of the trailers in our caravan blew not one, but TWO tires! And this will give you an idea of how dusty and dirty it was.

The Oregon (J) Hall's: Summer
http://theoregonjhalls.blogspot.com/2013/07/summer.html
Monday, July 1, 2013. It's only July (wait, ONLY July 1st.) and my last post was just a month ago. But it's already been a busy summer. I was afraid if I didn't take a moment and catch up, I would get too far behind. She bought a loft bed (yes, very smart) from where else - IKEA - - so she still has all that room underneath (that's Jaime standing up after he put it together for her) for.stuff. That's her closet. Seriously. But wait til you see the kitchen. Oh, and did I mention mini-fridge? But seriously...

The Oregon (J) Hall's: March 2010
http://theoregonjhalls.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 29, 2010. Well, it’s a little embarrassing to realize it’s been about 9 months since my last entry. When I started this journey, my goal was once a month… time to rededicate myself. He stood it up going up a hill, and I (literally) launched at the top of a dune, then set it on it’s rear – busted the tail light! Ahhh….what great memories! Our goal was to get either a camper/trailer, or a side-by-side for this year’s trip. Then winter set in….We spent this Thanksgiving with Jaime...Mid-Nov...

Wednesday, May 13, 2009. This years spring production was "A Mid Summer Night's Dream". Darci played the "head" fairy (thus the staff and *much* larger wings! As you can imagine (just from these pics) that the production was awesome! Fabulous costumes and the set was equally impressive. Next is the Senior Banquet (when we graduated they called it a Senior Tea). Then finally graduation and the All Night Party. Then.I get to relax, and she starts college! Monday, May 4, 2009. It was really irritating, beca...

Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Here are some pictures from the morning commute this morning in Portland. Luckily I was already at work when the heavier stuff started falling.these are courtesy of BikePortland.org. It started about 8 this morning.about the time I headed into work. We've got probably a good inch, and it's still coming down. Forecast says it will turn to icy rain by mid day, and icy road conditions tomorrow morning. When we moved to Oregon 10 years ago.this was not what we signed up for! We fin...

Monday, April 26, 2010. Well, we finally have some indication that Jaime is getting better. He goes weekly for blood tests to check, among other things, his bilirubin levels. Well, the last two (2) weeks his levels have finally come down. In fact last week, they decreased substantially - from 17 to 9. (Internet research shows normal levels are around 3.).
